After a breakup, the last person you want to see is the one responsible for the pain you’re experiencing right now or have experienced in the past. Letting go is never easy and being friends with your ex won’t help ease the pain.
In this episode, Johnny shares his thoughts about whether you should or should not remain friends with your former lover or ex. He also gave advice on what you should be doing if he’s the father of your kid/s and what you should be doing if he’s not.
In this episode we talk about:
- Why you shouldn’t be friendly buddies with your ex (if he’s not the father of your child/children)
- Reasons why you should learn to keep your distance and maintain your boundaries
- Your ex is your past and not your future
- How to maintain a business-like relationship with your ex if he is the father of your child/children
You must learn to move on. Your past is your past for a reason. Whatever circumstances you’re in, you must not stop moving forward.
Now going back to the question, should you still remain friends with your ex? If he’s the father of your kid, yes. Maintaining a business-like relationship is the best option for the two of you and your kid/s. If not, you might consider distancing yourself a little bit.
Being friends with your ex is downright unhealthy. Don’t dwell in the past. Focus on your future instead. Focus on finding the right man for you, and live the life of your dreams.
