Speaker1: [00:00:03] Hello and welcome to Single The Soulmate Podcast, where we help you the love warrior or love word to be to go from single to with your soulmate Living the life of your dreams. Come back to today’s episode. If you haven’t watched or listen to the first one in this series, I recommend you go back, listen to the first one, because every one of these in this series build on each other. Now, this is an exclusive inside event for our clients. Love words, as we call them, and we’re giving you access to it because you think would be really helpful. Enjoy. When I was working at a law firm at a friend of mine there, Joe, who had was also working there, and he was living at home with his mom because he said that he wouldn’t move out until he passed. Like he did well enough on the LSAT that would get him into to law school. And and he had taken the house out a couple of times. And so when we were talking about what would be different once we did well in the LSAT, I remember when I did well in the LSAT and I got my score, I said I’m going to be a lawyer because I wasn’t going to like do well in the SAT and not get into law school. I was going to get into law school. I wasn’t going to get into law school and not pass. And, you know, and I wasn’t going to graduate from law school and not pass the bar.
Speaker1: [00:01:30] So I knew the first domino to fall was getting doing really well in the LSAT. Joe, on the other hand, was very worried about the LSAT. He’d taken it a couple of times. He didn’t do well enough to get into any law school and he was very worried. And I said, Here’s the thing, dude, you’re you’re like planning to not do well again, I’m going to encourage you to move the fuck out of your grown man living with your mom here. Move out and expect to be, you know, to be doing well on the LSAT and. Well, he didn’t while I did really well and move forward, got top 5% and stuff like that. He failed at two more times. So he took it a total of I think it was three or four times until finally, like it kind of dawned on him like, I have to do more than just worry about it. I have to start to expect that I’m going to plan. And he moved out. He was scared about the money and this and that and all this type of stuff. He moved out. He basically made a commitment to the future that he wanted. And by doing that, he upped his energy and his commitment to rock and that LSAT. He also learned different strategies and approaches and things like that. And and he ended up doing really well. And he’s a lawyer today because of it, because he finally stopped worrying about what was going to go wrong and started focusing on it, preparing for what’s going to go right.
Speaker1: [00:03:05] And and so that’s what this is about. Stocking up on yourself is about not worrying about what could go wrong or how you failed before like Joe did. It’s about looking at what do you really want, where do you really want to go in allowing yourself to move forward in that way? And the thing is, we have habitual ways of doing things in life that we need to break out of. Just literally yesterday I broke out of a simple little habit that I thought was a real thing. So when we moved into our offices here, the guy that took us around on a tour said Everything is is like all the doors are locked and there’s all these magnetic locks and there’s cameras everywhere. It’s very secure and stuff. So when you go out of this door in order to go to the bathroom, you have to push this button that opens the door because it’s a magnetic lock. It locks both ways, stuff like that. So for eight months when I go to the door, I’m pushing the button to go out, pushing a button, everybody else pushing the button to go out. Yesterday, yesterday I saw a guy walk through and not push the button. And the door opened. And I was like, Holy shit, you can do that. So from yesterday afternoon until today, I’m not pushing the fucking button. I’m just going through.
Speaker1: [00:04:26] But everyone around is pushing the button. They’re doing extra effort that they don’t really need to because someone told them this and they didn’t know that there was another way. So this is this happens in life. We’re doing things a certain way because we think it’s the only way to do it. But you don’t have to make the extra effort. Push the button. It’s like magic. I was, like, practically giddy going through the door without pushing the fucking button, because that’s how life is all the time. There’s all kinds of things that we think are so real that are not really real at all. It’s just something somebody told you, something you saw from somebody else, and it’s stopping you from moving forward in a magical and fun way. So don’t worry and plan for your worries. Everybody worries. That’s human, but plan to overcome them. Set yourself up to win. Stock up on yourself. You’ll weather any storms, you’ll make progress while others are stuck standing still or waiting behind the door to push the button when you can just go on through. Right? Even in a fucking zombie apocalypse, you still going to need to stock up on you. And that’s what it’s what it’s all about. All right. All right. I hope you got a lot out of this episode and hope you enjoyed getting a sneak peek inside one of our exclusive online events for our clients. Bye for now. Thanks for tuning in to today’s episode.
